We attended the most amazing party here last weekend. Such a fabulous traditional Jordaan pub. The service by Rika was super. We will definitely return! Thanks

What an incredible experience. Me and two friends stayed around the corner form this beautiful bar, and for in the 7 days we spent taking in everything Amsterdam has to offer, this place was by far the best part. Initially stopping in for a quick drink on the way to our apartment on day 1 our night turned into one of the most pure travel experiences I've ever had. we spent the night chatting with the locals, learning to play carom billiards with them, and drinking phenomenal beer. Everyone was welcoming, warm, and exceptionally friendly, especially the wonderful lady behind the bar. we spent the evening with some amazing locals, learning about the history of genever, cheering on the Netherlands football team in the world cup, playing billiards, and drinking. The absolute pinnacle of this beautiful beautiful café, however, has to be the authentic sushi platter that was made with a combination of usual sushi fish like salmon and tuna, as well as locally sourced river fish. All authentically handmade by the Japanese woman who runs the bar. A truly authentic slice of local culture and community, it's given me memories that will last the rest of my life. A must for anyone looking for a less touristy piece of Amsterdam.

Brilliant cafe with one of the nicest bartenders ever. It looks a bit run down but it's definitely old school cool. Would recommend for parties.

Very old skool brown cafe in Amsterdam that has gone under the radar for a while. Run by 2 lovely people, Dutch ex farmer from Gelderland and his Japanese wife. Authentic Amsterdam atmosphere where you will find the regular guests sitting at the bar or playing a game of pool.
